Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed for calm, assuring citizens that the government was working round-the-clock to control the situation.

Opposition Criticism
The situation has also taken a political turn, with opposition leaders accusing the Delhi government of poor preparedness and lack of coordination with Haryana, where water is released from Hathnikund Barrage.
