The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the schedule for Round 1 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) Counselling 2026. Candidates participating in the postgraduate dental admission process can check the updated counselling timetable on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. The revised schedule applies to candidates seeking MDS seats through the 50 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) and 100 per cent seats in Deemed/Central Universities/AFMS.
Under the revised schedule, the Round 1 registration process will now remain open until August 29, 2026. Candidates will be able to complete their choice filling and locking during the period from August 19 to August 29. The seat allotment result for the first round is scheduled to be announced on September 2. Candidates who are allotted seats will then have to complete the reporting and joining formalities at their respective institutes between September 3 and September 11. Participating institutes will subsequently verify the data of candidates who have joined from September 12 to September 13.
Candidates planning to participate in the NEET MDS 2026 counselling process should ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements before registering. Applicants must have qualified the NEET MDS examination and secured the minimum qualifying percentile prescribed for their respective category. In addition to meeting the NEET MDS qualification requirement, candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions specified by MCC as well as the requirements prescribed by the participating institutions.
