The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the final seat allotment result for Round 2 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) Counselling 2026. The final allotment has been issued following the publication of the provisional Round 2 seat allocation result and provides the confirmed details of candidates who participated in the second round of counselling. The allotment document contains information including candidates’ ranks, allotted quota, institute, MDS course, category and the status of their allocation.
Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 2 can check their rank and verify the dental institute and MDS specialty assigned to them. The list also specifies the applicable quota and category against each allotment. The seats included in the result are distributed across the All-India quota and other applicable quotas.
The final allotment list covers admissions across multiple dental institutions and MDS specialties. Candidates who were satisfied with their Round 1 allocation and did not seek an upgrade have retained their previously allotted seats. On the other hand, candidates who opted for upgradation and secured a different preference in Round 2 have been assigned the upgraded institute or course reflected in the final result. Candidates who did not submit fresh choices during the second round have not received a new allotment.
The Round 2 result also contains provisions for candidates whose category or quota has changed while the institute and MDS course remain the same. Such candidates are required to obtain an online-generated relieving letter and proceed with admission against the seat under the newly allotted category or quota. They must subsequently obtain a fresh admission letter generated online. Failure to complete the admission process against the changed category or quota seat may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
