The Press Information Bureau’s Fact Check Unit has dismissed claims circulating on social media that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses, or NEET PG 2026, question paper was leaked in Jaipur. The unit described the claims as misleading and clarified that no question paper leak had taken place during the examination.
Responding to posts shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the PIB Fact Check Unit said that claims were being circulated alleging that NEET PG examination question papers had been leaked in Jaipur. However, it categorically rejected the allegation and stated that there had been no leak of the NEET PG question paper.
The clarification came amid reports and social media discussions surrounding disruptions faced by candidates at certain examination centres in Jaipur, Rajasthan. According to the PIB Fact Check Unit and NBEMS, the difficulties at the affected centres were caused by technical disruptions linked to internal power supply problems and were not connected to any alleged compromise of the examination question paper.
The affected test centres were located at the iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura Centres in Jaipur. The technical issues at these centres resulted from internal power supply disruptions.
The NEET PG 2026 examination was conducted by the medical education board on August 30, 2026, at centres across the country. The examination had been scheduled for a total of 2,73,096 candidates and was held at 1,111 examination centres located across 339 cities in all 36 states and Union Territories.
According to the official notice, 2,65,980 candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2026 examination. The examination was successfully completed for approximately 2,63,535 candidates, while the remaining affected candidates are set to be accommodated through the re-examination scheduled for September 5.
The authorities have maintained that the technical issues reported at the Jaipur centres were related to power supply disruptions and that there was no question paper leak in the NEET PG 2026 examination.
